Medical Director
We are seeking a committed Christian with a medical license specialty in Family Medicine or OB/GYN with a passion for pro-life work.
While this volunteer position is a relatively small time commitment, the impact of the medical director is immense for our small pregnancy resource clinic in Southeast Michigan. We see between 350-400 patients every year, and last year, nearly 60 women who were considering an abortion or planning to have an abortion chose life for their baby after visiting our clinic. Without a medical director to oversee our services, we cannot keep our doors open to continue this lifesaving work to which God has called us!
Responsibilities:
- Commitment: 1-2 hours per month, majority can be done remote anywhere in the state of Michigan
- Once a year: sign off on all medical policies and procedures
- Twice a year: meet with the Medical Council
- Rarely: Provide on-call consultation for medical staff for urgent patient matters or medical emergencies. We have robust, detailed protocols with a conservative approach to send women to a higher level of care when needed.
At this time, we do not need the medical director to read ultrasounds, as we have other doctors who perform this task. However, if willing and able to read limited OB ultrasounds – we would be happy to have you assist occasionally!
Qualifications:
- Christian displaying a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who is committed to carrying out the mission of Family Life Services and strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
- Agree and uphold Family Life Services’ Statement of Faith, Commitment of Care and Competence, and policies of the clinic.
- Be a licensed physician (MD or DO) in good standing; board certified in obstetrics and gynecology or in family medicine
Is God calling you to help us in this mission?
